A computer in a USB stick? How does this work?
The Debekom Cloudstick consists of two parts: a USB stick that you can connect to any computer and a cloud computer in a secure European data center in the EU. When you plug in the USB stick, a secure connection to the cloud computer is established.
An internet connection with 1000 Mbit/s, although I only have a 250 Mbit/s connection at home?
A minimal Internet connection is sufficient for the connection to the cloud computer. Since your browser is running on the cloud computer, you have full bandwidth (by default 1000 Mbit/s, expandable).
Install Windows 11 on my 10 year old laptop and use it at full speed?
Of course, you can order your cloud PC with pre-installed Windows 11. Your own computer does not have to meet the specifications. Since your Windows is running in the cloud, you can take full power and speed. Or try free Linux?
Share my computer with several people, even in the company?
Even with modern security tools, working with multiple people on a PC is often difficult. On the other hand, you can put the Debekom Cloudstick in any computer without hesitation and get started. The stick only establishes the cloud connection and has no access to the operating system or hard drive itself.
Graphic power for computer games or AI applications?
You can scale up your cloud computer until its performance matches the most powerful data centers. 2TB of RAM? A GPU cluster? However, you only pay for the actual time required. For your professional projects, we will also be happy to design individual solutions for you.
updates? Expiring security support? New hardware standards and developments?
Your cloud computer complies with the latest standards and is in professionally secured redundant data centers. If, as in 2025, security support for an operating system expires, we will inform you and will be happy to help you migrate to a new instance.
Forgot password? Laptop broken? data gone?
If your Cloudstick is lost or damaged, you can easily restore access to your cloud computer. Regardless of this, your data will remain securely stored until you delete it yourself.
Is that sustainable? What does the environment say about this?
Cloud computers reduce greenhouse gas emissions in several ways. On the one hand, you can use your existing PCs and laptops with virtually unlimited use. Secondly, the central operation reduces the power consumption per computer. Incidentally, you can calculate and track the CO2 emissions of your personal authority in advance. Thirdly, our partners pay attention to the coverage of electricity consumption by renewable energies. The new data centers of our partner Scaleway even work adiabatic, i.e. without active cooling!
